HISTORY

1920

Granddad Agostino, a man ahead of his time, studies and develops a new pattern-making technique. Successfully applying it in his tailor’s shop in Lucca, Agostino becomes a pioneer of the Italian art of pattern making.

LATE ’50s

Dad Alberto follows in Agostino’s footsteps and becomes a master womenswear pattern maker in Italy’s first large clothing factory, “Gruppo Finanziario Tessile”.

1992

After 5 years’ experience working at GFT Uomo, Massimo Frediani establishes his own pattern-making company, availing of a close collaboration with his father, Alberto.

1992 – 2010

Alberto continues to share and pass on the secrets of the trade and Italian pattern-making techniques to Massimo and his employees.

2016

Alice, Massimo’s first-born, joins the company after completing her studies in Fashion Marketing and Management in the United States and working for several American fashion brands.

TODAY

Frediani S.r.l. works in partnership with the world’s most important fashion houses, carrying on the family tradition of Italian pattern making.
